Oxford Instruments needed to consolidate all of its 11 businesses onto one website to ensure consistent brand and messaging throughout.
The website needed to have a user-friendly CMS, to allow business units from all over the globe to make updates, including multi language support.
Each business had a website to migrate, some functioning better than others it was critical to work with all key stakeholders to find the right solution for each of the businesses, and the Oxford Instruments group.
The solution
We ran multiple workshops with all of the businesses to understand the objective of their website, and consolidated this into the overarching KPI for the project – Leads.
Content audits took place to ensure we didn’t overlook any valuable pre-existing content, this included an analytics review to find best performing and relevant pages for each business.
As flexibility was key, we worked with Oxford Instruments to review CMS options, with the final decision being made to use MODX for its flexibility with content and roles.
Our digital team conducted a UX review and journey mapping, before creating responsive designs all focussing on conversion rate to generate ROI.
The website consolidation and build took place over a number of months, using an agile project management delivery, we delivered multiple phases for testing and soft launches throughout the process.
All 11 businesses now have a simple to use, flexible CMS and a website the generates leads.
